These guys are some real characters...

I have a lot of favorite television shows. I don't get to watch them all the time because usually I'm in school or playing with my real friends or my mom and dad. But when I do get to watch TV, there are some shows I can't wait to see. Maybe some of them you would like, too.

One of my favorite things is when Burger King or McDonald's have special meals with toys in them, because sometimes the toys are the characters from my favorite shows. I have a large collection of them in my room. Here are some of my TV friends that you can meet.

Shining Time Station

Thomas the Tank Engine has been my friend since I was 2 years old. He and his friends live on the Island of Sodor with Sir Topham Hatt. They have lots of exciting adventures.

I have a lot of Thomas's videos and like to watch him on TV. I hope he is in a movie someday.

Rugrats

These are the Rugrats -- Tommy, Angelica, Chuckie, Phil and Lil, and Baby Dill (who isn't in this picture). They go on lots of adventures and get into a lot of trouble.

Have you seen "The Rugrats Movie"? I did, when it was in the theater at Thanksgiving time.

Blue's Clues

This is Steve and his dog Blue. They are on TV in the mornings before I go to school. Each episode there are three clues and you have to figure out what they are so that you can solve Blue's riddle. I like when Blue skidoos into a picture and then Steve follows her. I also have Blue games on my computer at home.

Jay-Jay the Jet Plane

"There's never been another little guy like this, so much in love with the sky like this!" Jay-Jay is a little jet plane who lives with the other planes at Tarrytown. He has friends named Big Jake, Ol' Oscar, Hercky the helicopter, Revin' Brevin, EZ Sylvana, and Brenda Blue, the person in charge of the planes. They sing great songs on every show.

Arthur

I'm sure glad I'm an only-child. If I were like Arthur Read, I could have a bratty little sister like D.W. who drives him crazy. Arthur lives with his sister, mom and dad and is in the second grade. He has friends like The Brain, Buster Rabbit, Francine and Binky Barnes. There are lots of Arthur books at the library.

Pappyland

This is Pappy Drewit. If you like art projects then you'll like Pappyland. Pappy shows you how to draw and color neat pictures. He also has a Hall of Frames where kids can show their best pictures.

Seasame Street

My dad says that Sesame Street is as old as he is! But Elmo wasn't on the show when my dad watched it. Now he is, and he is the coolest monster. Elmo is my best friend, because I have a little Elmo who likes to play games with me. I took him to the farm when we went to pick strawberries in the spring.

I also like other Seasme Street characters, like Big Bird, Ernie, Bert, the Count, Oscar, Cookie Monster and Zoe.

Teletubbies

Tinky Winky (purple), Dipsy (green), La La (yellow) and Po (red) are the Teletubbies, the cute little aliens who live "over the hills and far away." They don't say very much, but they play funny games and show videos in their tummies. I like the sun with the baby's face in it. Dad calls it the demented sun.

Winnie the Pooh

This stumbling, bumbling special sort of bear lives in the Hundred Acre Wood with his friends Eeyore, Rabbit, Piglet, Owl, Tigger, Kanga, Roo and Christopher Robin. I like all the new adventures of Winnie the Pooh on the Disney Channel.

Star Wars

This shriveled-up guy is Yoda. He is a great Jedi master who talks sort of like the Muppets from Sesame Street. I really like the Star Wars movies, even though I haven't seen them all yet. I like C3PO, R2-D2, Queen Amidala, Annakin Skywalker and Darth Vadar. I like the part in "Empire Strikes Back" where Luke tries to lift R2 and he drops him in the swamp.

Maisy

Meet Maisy Mouse. She is a quiet character who doesn't say a lot, but when her cool shows are on she doesn't need to talk much. She can drive a train, ride a bike and loves to play with her friends. You can watch her on Nickelodeon in the morning.

Franklin

Franklin the turtle can count his twos and tie his shoes. I haven't learned how to do those things quite yet, but I really like the adventures that Franklin gets into with his friends like Fox and Bear. He also loves fly pie -- whatever that is.

Kipper

Ever notice how there are a lot of dogs in cartoons? It's probably because they know how much kids like dogs. If I had a pet dog, I'd want him to be like Kipper because he has a neat British accent. Of course, most dogs don't really talk.

Little Bear

Little Bear is the one on the right. He's sitting with his dad, Father Bear. He also lives with Mother Bear and has a special human friend named Emily. They have many adventures together.

Peanuts

Snoopy is one cool dog. He is in a lot of TV shows and books with Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Sally, Shroeder, Pig Pen, Peppermint Patty and a bunch of other friends. I really like when they play baseball and Charlie Brown gets all his clothes knocked off by the baseball when the other team beats his team.

My dad says that the Peanuts have been around since the 1950s. Did they have TV back then?

SpongeBob SquarePants

There is a cool new show on Nickelodeon about a sponge that lives in a pineapple at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean with his pet snail, Gary. He has a rude neighbor named Squidward, and two friends named Patrick and Sandy Cheeks.

Zoboomafoo

This show has a funny name and some funny animals in it. Zoboomafoo Zoboo is a leaping lemur who lives in Madagascar with his mother and father and all the other lemurs in his group.

This show is a lot like Kratts' Creatures, but I think this one is better for little kids.

Land Before Time

Do you like dinosaurs? There are lots of dinosaurs in the Land Before Time, which is really a series of movies more than a TV show. I have seen at least six movies. My farite characters are Little Foot and Sarah, who are in the picture above.

CatDog

A lot of my favorite shows are on Nickelodeon, including this one about an animal that is half a dog and half a cat. It's really funny when the cat wants to do one thing and the dog wants to do something different. Sometimes they almost pull each other apart because they get so silly.

Doug

Doug Funnie is a lot older than I am. He goes to junior high school with his best friend Skeeter and his girlfriend, Patti Mayonnaise. He likes to daydream about being a super hero, but sometimes he imagines what it would be like if he were an old man and still in junior high.

Did you know that there is a dog in this show, too! His name is Porkchop.

Pee-Wee's Playhouse

This is Pee-Wee Herman and he has a very funny voice. All of his friends live in a silly house and they play games together. Some days they have a special word and if somebody says the word then strange things happen.

My mom doesn't like Pee-Wee much, but I think his show is great.

Toy Story

This was the first movie I ever saw in the theater, when I was 1-1/2 years old. It's about a boy named Andy who has a favorite toy named Woody the cowboy. When Andy has a birthday he gets a new favorite toy named Buzz Lightyear. Woody and Buzz get lost and have to find their way back to Andy's house. I have the movie on video at home.

Big Garage

This is a show about cars and all the taxis that live in the big garage. They have some fun adventures with a lot of music and lessons for kids.

I'm sorry I don't have a picture of the show, but my dad couldn't find one anywhere on the Internet. If you have one, could you please send me an e-mail and let me know how to get it? Thanks!

...And many more

I have a lot of other favorite shows and friends, but my dad said that if I listed them all there wouldn't be enough room on the Internet and then we'd have to buy a bigger Web site. I guess I'll have to end here.

If you have a favorite show that you think I might like, tell me about it.

Go back to my place.
