Ben's interview with Dad

Today, we interviewed future novelist Glenn Gehlke, to see what his lifestyle is like today.

We asked Glenn a series of over 21 questions, starting with his birthdate. "I was born on July 1st , 1965." He answered reluctantly. We followed up this question by asking him what his first word was. "Picks!" he joked.

The second question we asked him was how old he was. "I am 41 years old," he responded. We then asked him what his favorite color was. He asked us if he had to have one. We said he didn't have to have one, but for the interview, he did. He thought for a moment, and said, "Red."

Our fourth question for Glenn was, What is your favorite sport that you play. He did not currently have one, so he went with one of the sports he played when he was a kid. "I liked to play Softball when I was a kid, but now I just stay at home and watch football and Nascar racing," he told us. Our next question was what is your favorite sports star.  He told us about 4 time Winston Cup Champion, Jeff Gordon.

Our next question was what is your favorite hobby. He responded with one word: Music. We then asked him what his favorite singer was. "Restless," Glenn responded. We asked him what Genre of music Restless sings. "Neo Rockabilly," he responded. We finally asked, What is your favorite song Restless sings. After a few minutes, he replied, "Blood Suckin' Boogie."

Next we asked what his favorite TV show was. He responded, "NASCAR Racing." He told us about the 3 channels it showed on, NBC, FOX and SPEED. We asked him who his favorite driver was, and he replied, "Jeff Gordon."

We asked him about his favorite book or story, other than one of his own. "The Program," he replied. "It's about a special agent who goes to rescue a college girl."

We asked him about his favorite restraunt. He said, "Hometown Buffet in Tracy. They serve everything. My favorite is the chocolate upside down cake."

We then asked him what his favorite car was. "My own. It is a Toyota Corolla," he replied.

We asked him about his favorite clothes. "Hanes. I'm wearing them now!" he said. We asked him what he would wear to a party. He said, "Not what I'm wearing now."

We asked him of his 3 favorite places to visit. He said, "Old Town Sacramento, Truckee, and Tehachapi."

We asked him one place where he would like to live. He said, "I was just talking to my brother about Sacramento," he said. "I wouldn't really want to live there for real, but..."

We asked him about his favorite subject. "Journalism," he said.

We asked him who he admires the most. "My lovely wife, Roni." He responded.

We asked him if he had received any awards. He said he won 2 employee of the month awards, and the Surfey Trophy 3 times.

We asked who his best friend was. He responded the same as the question two paragraphs before.

Our last question was if he could switch places with anyone in the world, who would it be. He was unsure, so he couldn't give an answer.
